Post from Mike Tartaglia at CHUM.LY

Ok, so here is my experience with the iPhone OS4 upgrade for my 3GS. The download took a very long time, probably around 30 minutes, but this is mainly because the network I was on at the time is really slow for the internet. At the begining of the upgrade I chose to backup my iPhone. That was a mistake. It took at least 2.5 hours to get about 95% done. At that time I needed to leave so I pressed the ESC key in hopes to cancel the backup and continue the upgrade. Well It didn't continue, but I was able to manually continue the upgrade and not select Backup. This took about 15 minutes and it was all upgraded. When I got into my car, I plugged it into my radio via USB hoping everything would work fine. I usually listen to a Podcast on the way home, but when I tried, it kept on cutting out and stopping and making funny noises. I then rebooted the iPhone and things seem to be fine. But that was scary. My car radio was not a cheap one, and I was already upset about that radio when I found out that the iPad wouldn't work in it for music. So needless to say, everything went fine, it just took forever to complete. http://chum.ly/n/19c5f8
